A gorgeous wedding in Ponce Inlet at The Wilbur Boathouse.
Heres to a gorgeous wedding in Ponce Inlet at The Wilbur Boathouse for Katie and Chris. How can you not fall in love with these images from an intimate wedding on the east coast of Florida? I did not get the chance to meet Katie and Chris before their wedding so much of getting to know them was on their wedding day, and what a charming couple! Chris, being a native of Florida moved up to Ohio (my birth state) for a woman, of which at the time was not his bride to be. As chance has it he later met Katie, a native of Ohio and alas the rest is a happily ever after love story. Chris's best man told a short story about how Chris never had intentions of marrying, he would meet someone special and they would be together.... however Katie rewrote that story for him, and I was able to witness a day that was never intended to happen. Some details of their wedding had me in awe. Lets talk about the flowers. Yes, the flowers were made up with hops. Yes. HOPS! How unique! I personally have never seen a bouquet made up with hops so it was quite a treat for me. And Katie's shoes. Kate Spade Keds. This is all the rave right now for brides who don't want to be uncomfortable in heels all day and night. Sparkle Kate Spade Keds! And as you can see she not only had one set of shoes to wear, she also had a pair of gorgeous sparkle sandals to wear during her ceremony. The wedding was initially intended to be on the beach but we had a recent king tide and the beach was not very weather friendly that day. A nice little addition to their wedding day was that they hired a boat charter service to take the guests on a short little boat ride around the harbor, which definitely kept guests occupied while I shot their bridal portraits. I even got to go on a little ride withe them as you can see in the images below! Also I think it was really neat how Chris wore a more relaxed ensemble. Katies' mother was involved in making the deserts too, yummy cream flavored filled cupcakes too! A nice touch was that if the guests weren't able to eat all the cupcakes they could take them home in little take away boxes with handles! I may or may not have taken several home with me ;) Everything about Katie and Chris's wedding was intimate and adorable. Touched with beach colors of teals and whites, seashells and most importantly love. I want to with Katie and Chris many years of happiness and a huge congratulations!
